This program is especially important for immigrant women who don’t have family, friends and knowledge of the Canadian health system. It was through the CPNP program that I was able to talk to a nurse about my severe post partum depression. It saved my life.

A parenting tool containing the guidelines and additional resources entitled Let’s Talk FASD was produced by Victoria Order of Nurses through PHAC funding for use by front-line workers, parents and care providers.

 

Keeping In Touch The focus of this quarterly publication is to identify and summarize educational and literacy issues, as well as topics on social and emotional child development. It features: news, stories and information relevant to service planners, service providers and parents associated with Aboriginal Head Start Program (AHS), the Community Action Program for Children (CAPC), the Canada Prenatal Nutrition Program (CPNP) and Pregnancy Outreach Programs (POPs).  It is funded by the Public Health Agency of Canada and published by Frog Hollow Neighbourhood House, a non-profit community organization promoting the health and well-being of families with young children.
